Database DSN currently locked for maintenance error message

There is an issue with TestPartner 5.1.1 that is causing this lock to occur. The problem can occur by doing the following:

Open an Oracle or SQL Server database the Database Maintenance utility. Without closing the Database Maintenance utility, open another database (can be any type - Access, SQL, or Oracle.) Close the Database Maintenance utility, and start TestPartner. Log onto the first database that was opened using the Database Maintenance utility. You will now receive this error message.

The database should have been unlocked when the Database Maintenance utility was closed, but it is still locked. The problem is that the database can not be unlocked, and it cannot be opened in TestPartner or the Database Maintenance utility. Using Regedit, modify the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Compuware\TestPartner\Database Maintenance registry key to unlock the database.

Change the value of "AllowDBLockRemoval" from 0 to 1. Now open the database through the Database Maintenance utility. You will first receive a warning stating that the database is locked. The next prompt that you receive will ask if you want to remove the lock. Choose "Yes", and the database can now be accessed again as usual.
